I didn't like XB X because of the lack of story but exploring and gameplay was fun. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is generally an underrated title. I wish it did though. One is a very old school turn-based JRPG (think like SNES Final Fantasy games) with random encounters and a sort of hybrid 2d/3d style with pixel graphics, and the other is a much more modern style JRPG with real time combat, large open world etc. Not to mention Xenoblade 2 launching when Switch owners were so thirsty for portables jRPGS probably got a lot of people that normally wouldn't buy a Xeno game to try it.
